Delta Gamma

Letter from Recruitment Chair

Welcome to Delta Gamma at Brown University’s website and thank you so much for showing interest in our chapter! I hope that our website will give you an opportunity to explore our chapter’s history, events, philanthropy, and sisterhood.

Delta Gamma provides endless opportunities for fostering friendships, for receiving academic support, to take on leadership positions, to take part in philanthropic events that benefit our national philanthropy, Service for Sight, and to form unforgettable memories. The girls I have met through DG over the course of my membership are truly one of a kind. It is a privilege that our chapter is capable of bringing together such an amazing group of diverse, motivated, fun-loving, inspirational, and intelligent women.  In addition to Greek Life at Brown, our members are involved in Division I sports, Theater, and A cappella and are also Meiklejohn peer advisors, undergraduate teaching assistants, tour guides, and so much more! Most importantly, however, is that each member upholds our core values of friendship, strong educational and cultural interest, social responsibility and the best qualities of character.

If you are nervous about the recruitment process, or are hesitant as to whether or not Greek life is for you, let me assure you that there is no need to be! We sincerely encourage any woman that is even slightly interested in taking part in Brown’s recruitment process to do so. Recruitment is an amazing experience where you are given the opportunity to meet hundreds of unique and incredible Panhellenic women—many of whom will become your friends (and sisters) for a lifetime! Going through recruitment can seem overwhelming, intimidating and nerve-wracking, but as Vice President of Membership, I speak on behalf of the entire Theta Delta chapter of Delta Gamma when I say that we cannot wait to meet all of you! My goal for spring recruitment 2019 is to create an atmosphere in which every girl finds their home. We hope that DG is the place for you and where you will find friendships that last a lifetime!

Best wishes and good luck throughout recruitment!
